Debra L. Burns, M.D.

Dr. Burns received both her B.A. and M.D. degrees from Wake Forest University. During her pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas she served as Chief Resident and continues her affiliation with Southwestern Medical School as Clinical Instructor in pediatrics. She has been in continuous private practice in Dallas since 1987. She has been consistently named to D Magazine and Texas Monthly best doctor’s lists. Dr. Burns was named by Ladies’ Home Journal as one of the best pediatricians in America in May 2002. She has also been the consulting physician for the Hockaday School since 1990.
Dr. Burns is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Burns is married and has two sons in middle school. She enjoys volunteering at their schools, running, gardening, and cooking.
Dr. Burns' practice is currently closed to new patients except for newborns.
Ernie M. Fernandez, M.D.

Joseph A. Hanig, M.D.
Dr. Hanig is a 1976 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and received his medical degree from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 1980. He completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and Parkland Memorial Hospital in 1984, serving as Chief Resident his last year. Since then he has been in private general pediatric practice in Dallas. His teaching position is Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Hanig is board certified in pediatrics and a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, Texas Pediatric Society, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He lives in Dallas with his wife, also a pediatrician, and their two sons. His interests outside of medicine include his family, bicycle racing, computers and photography.

C. Victoria Shinn, M.D.

Dr. Shinn is an Austin, TX native who graduated cum laude from Wellesley College. She attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Since 1992 she has been in continuous pediatric practice in Dallas. Dr. Shinn is Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Texas Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Society and the Texas Pediatrics Society. She is a member of the clinical faculty at Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. Dr. Shinn served on the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas and remains a member of the advisory board. She lives in Dallas and is married with two daughters. Her outside interests include family activities, volunteering at her daughters’ school, scrap booking, and singing.
