C. Victoria Shinn, MD
With bittersweet feelings, we report that Dr. Shinn will be retiring. Her last day is scheduled to be October 31, 2020. Dr. Shinn will be greatly missed by all. However, we wish her a joyous, stress-free retirement that results in extra time with family. All of her patients are invited to remain with the practice and we are happy to assist in any way during this transition. A copy of Dr. Shinn's letter is included below.
It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement from the practice of pediatrics effective October 31st, 2020. This has been in my sights, but the pandemic has advanced the timeline. It was March when I last held my two-year-old grandson and there is another grandchild on the way.
My feelings are decidedly conflicted because I will miss your wonderful families and the doctors, nurses, and staff with whom I have worked. What a privilege it has been to watch your children grow and develop, to teach and to learn from them, and to bear witness to some of your hopes and dreams. Second generation patients have been a special pleasure and honor.
I have been so very lucky to share a full-time job first with Dr. Burns for 26 years and then with Dr. Lorin Levin for the last 2 years. A special thank you also goes to Drs. Fernandez, Hieber, and Schorlemer for their 15 years of support and shared pediatric expertise.
I leave you in the caring hands of the good doctors of Clinical Pediatric Associates. Dr. Levin is eager to work full-time going forward. Many of you know and like her already from our two years of shared practice. She will continue to provide excellent care for your families and will work alongside Drs. Schorlemer, Hieber, Fernandez, and Edge.
With Fond Memories,
C. Victoria Rase Shinn, M.D.
